A parent or guardian can register their child for kindergarten if, on or before December 30 of that school year, the student has reached the age of 5 years. For example, for the 2024/25 school year, the student must be 5 years of age prior to December 31, 2024. In other words, the child would have been born in 2019. There are no exceptions.

As a growing school district, some of our schools are nearing capacity. Visit our Student Enrolment Priorities page to learn more.

2024/25 Registration

The regular kindergarten registration window is January 29 from 8:00 a.m. to February 2 at 11:59 p.m. To register please go to https://registration.sd62.bc.ca/apps/SookeStudents

Registrations received after the window are timestamped processed accordingly.

Dear David Cameron Parents

The Christmas season is quickly approaching and so too is Gift Day, which is scheduled to be held on Friday December 8. You will have received a flyer outlining the details regarding this Gift Day.   Many students look forward to this day as it adds to the excitement of the Christmas season, and it allows the children to pick out gifts for their family.  As a PAC, we enjoy putting this event on for the students, but it is an event we rely heavily on the generosity of our families.

We are in need of new or gently used items for this event.  Please refer to the handout or our Facebook page if you are unsure of what can be donated.

We would also like to encourage you to visit the link below and, if you can, sign up for a shift (or two).  If we do not have enough volunteers, we will unfortunately not be able to host this event.

We look forward to Gift Day this year!
