A parent or guardian can register their child for kindergarten if, on or before December 30 of that school year, the student has reached the age of 5 years. For example, for the 2024/25 school year, the student must be 5 years of age prior to December 31, 2024. In other words, the child would have been born in 2019. There are no exceptions.

As a growing school district, some of our schools are nearing capacity. Visit our Student Enrolment Priorities page to learn more.

2024/25 Registration

The regular kindergarten registration window is January 29 from 8:00 a.m. to February 2 at 11:59 p.m. To register please go to https://registration.sd62.bc.ca/apps/SookeStudents

Registrations received after the window are timestamped processed accordingly.

2023/24 Registration

French Immersion & Nature Kindergarten are full for the 2023/24 school year.

Regular Kindergarten registration for the 2023/24 school year is ongoing. Please complete the regular registration process to register at your in-catchment school for kindergarten.
